Ron Paradies
President of the Board

Ron relocated to the Bay Area from upstate New York in 1976. Currently he is Senior Project Manager with XL Construction, a San Jose, Ca. firm specializing in technical construction for the biotech, pharmaceutical, microelectronics, and medical industries.

Ron has been involved in choral music since grammar school including participation in college and church choirs as well as private vocal training at the Eastman School of Music. While a singing member of the Santa Clara Chorale, he served on the Board of Directors for 7 years, including 5 years as its' President.

Presently a non-singing supporter of the Chorale, Ron's interest is in strengthening the infrastructure of the organization so that the Director and singers can focus on all things musical.

Dana Hooper
Marketing Committee Chair

Dana Hooper joined the Santa Clara Chorale Board of Directors in March 2006. Dana is married to former Board President and Chorale member Alicia Swanson and has been enjoying Chorale music for 10 years as a non-singing supporter. He wants to contribute his time and skills to help the organization continue to grow and thrive.

Dana is currently the Executive Director of Life Services Alternatives, Inc. (LSA). LSA operates community care homes that deliver exceptional care to persons with developmental disabilities. Dana was formerly President of the San Andrea Regional Center Board of Directors and served on several committees over his Board tenure. Dana contributes his time and skills to help ensure that quality services and support are provided to people with developmental disabilities. Dana has been actively involved in the community and has served as a Board member of Jay Nolan Community Services. Jay Nolan is a Los Angeles based non-profit Service Provider with a Bay Area office located in Campbell.

Dana is a technology industry veteran with extensive sales and marketing experience. Most recently he was vice president of U.S. Operations for a German software developer focusing on expanding the market for its products in the US. Previously Dana was part of the executive team at Speech Machines, Lernout and Hauspie and Centigram in marketing, business development and general management capacities. Mr. Hooper holds an MBA from the Simon School at the University of Rochester.

Glenda Hughes
Secretary

In her non-singing life, Glenda Hughes is president of Voter Contact Services, a national voter file vendor, which provides products for political campaigns. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Maryville College and a Master of Business Administration from Santa Clara University. She has had a long career in Information Technology, but her avocation has always been music.

After many years of choral singing with other groups, Ms, Hughes joined the Santa Clara Chorale three years ago and says that singing with the group is one of her great joys.

Stans Kleijnen
Fundraising Committee Chair

Stans started her own business Orange Canopy in 2004 in which she engages in Executive Coaching and Management Consulting.

Stans worked at Sun Microsystems for over 13 years. Most recently she was the Vice-President of Market Development Engineering working closely with Sun’s software partners worldwide. Previously she headed up the Developer Tools organization and she played a critical leadership role on the team that developed the Java platform.

Earlier in her career, Stans worked in the Netherlands and in Italy. She earned an MSCS from Computer Science College (HIO) in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

Jerry Godes
Board Member

Jerry is a board member of the Chorale, and past president of the board. Since his first term on the board, he has been the chorale's database manager. He has also frequently chaired the Chorale's annual fund raising campaign.

Musically, Jerry has been singing in choirs for most of his life. He's been in the Chorale's bass section since 1990.

Don McMorrow
Board Member

Don McMorrow has 28 years of experience in information technology in Silicon Valley, including 18 years in a variety of IT positions with Ford Aerospace followed by 10 years as Chief Information Officer of Varian Associates and Varian Medical Systems.

His non-profit experience includes 4 years with his local school board, three as chairman, and 9 years with the Advisory board of the University of San Francisco's McClaren School of Business.

He holds a BS in Physics from the University of Santa Clara and an MBA from Pepperdine University. He joined the Santa Clara Chorale Board in 2008

Susan Jenkins
Board Member

Susan Jenkins is an organizational specialist. She brings more than ten years experience working as a business consultant to several Silicon Valley start-up technology firms. Susan is a Santa Clara University alumnus. She joined the Santa Clara Chorale Board in 2008.
